The Spring Fling
Saturday May 15 from 10 am
to 1 pm
This is a fun start to the
tennis season. Newcomers get a chance to meet veteran club members and we
all get a chance to hit before house league begins. Everyone is
guaranteed 2 matches playing a doubles format. You can either “get
the rust off” your game or show off your new technique form winter
training. We will barbeque burgers and provided drinks for players,
family and guests who attend.
Summer Welcome Tournament
Saturday, July 10 from 10 am
to 1 pm
This is an open tournament
for players of all abilities. It is time to show off your skills and
socialize with other club members. Please check the notice board in the
clubhouse and your email for further details.
The Bill & Polly Allen
Memorial House League Tournament
From July 3 to August 22
Bill & Polly Allen were
originating members of the Erin Tennis Club and they both shared a
passion for the game. They were avid supporters of house league and we
have dedicated this tournament in their memory.
Play will begin the first
weekend in July and end, weather permitting by August 22. We will play a
round every 2 weeks until we have champions declared. We play a doubles
format in the following categories: Men’s and ladies doubles, mixed
doubles and seniors’ doubles. Balls are provided only for the
championship matches. All matches are a 10 game proset where a 12-point
tiebreaker is played at 9 games all.
Club Championships
August 29 to September 25
We will play doubles and
singles matches in all categories throughout the month of September,
culminating with Championship matches on Saturday, September 25th. Our
closing Gala will be held that same evening. For those who are not in the
finals, you are invited to play in the President’s Trophy Handicap
Tournament that will begin the same morning at 9:30 am.
Play will begin on Saturday, August 1 and we will be
playing a round a week through the entire month. We play a doubles format
in the following categories: Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles, Mixed
doubles and Seniors over 60. Ball are provided only for the championship
round.
