House League is played on
Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in 2 time periods (7 to 8:45 pm and 9 to
10:30 pm). We rotate so that we play three sets each night with new
partners each match. Participants are assigned to a team based on the
self-rating system filled out at registration. We try to balance each
team with players of all abilities. Each team has a captain (volunteers
needed). New players are always welcome and we encourage you to take
advantage of the free 4 lessons that are offered before house league
begins. House league allows you to learn new skills, play regularly, stay
in shape and share lots of laughs.
Every
team plays once a week in one of the 4 time slots on a published
schedule. If you are not available you are responsible for finding a sub
and letting your captain know who will be playing for you. When someone
does not show up, it ruins the game for the opposition and your
teammates. A sub list, a team roster and a schedule are handed out at the
beginning of the season.
We will bend
over backwards to accommodate special requests. You may wish to have a
specific teammate, or play on a different team from a spouse so that
someone is always with the children. Some players cannot play on
Wednesday and we pair them up with players who cannot play on Tuesdays.
Let us know your problem, and we will work out a solution, if you wish to
play.
Free lessons are available on Tuesdays
ending May 10 and house league begins
play on May 17 and 18.
